Full Job Description
Join the Workforce Payroll team and lead the platform that turns Intuit's apps into a Super App. As the leader of the Pluggable Architecture team, you'll spearhead a WeChat-style embedding platform that lets host applications - QuickBooks Workforce and TurboTax - securely embed first- and third-party experiences (Credit Karma Money, Insurance, Loans, Cards, and Paycheck Advance) as sandboxed "mini-app" plugins, wired together by Intuit Federated Identity. One contract, many hosts, many plugins. You will leverage the connective tissue of the Super App - a small set of shared platform primitives that every experience plugs into: Federated Identity , Neo Banking , Money / Payments / Stablecoin , and the Intuit Data Exchange (an in-house, consented financial-data layer). Your charter is to make the marginal cost of the next product, and the next host, collapse toward zero. Collaborate with a dream team of product visionaries, design maestros, engineering wizards, data science gurus, and legal and compliance experts to:
  • Craft a technical vision for a Super App platform that disrupts the status quo of one-off integrations
  • Build a secure, sandboxed embedding runtime and a versioned plugin contract that any host and any product can adopt
  • Establish Federated Identity as the seamless, zero-click trust fabric across Intuit and Credit Karma
  • Drive execution with precision and passion - turning today's bespoke embeds into a repeatable platform
Responsibilities
  • Drive strategic thinking and results-oriented execution, framing the Super App as a platform bet rather than a set of features.
  • Build high-performing teams by placing the right people in the right roles at the right time.
  • Foster innovation by encouraging new ideas and leading by example.
  • Inspire and empower engineers to bring their best ideas forward, leveraging deep DS/ML and AI technologies to solve customer problems.
  • Create and launch customer-driven platform capabilities that address current needs and build for the future.
  • Champion an inner-sourcing culture so partner teams can contribute plugins and capabilities without compromising platform integrity or customer experience.
  • Create a shared vision and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with partners across Workforce, TurboTax, Credit Karma, Identity, Risk, and Compliance.
  • Demonstrate patience, resilience, and the ability to thrive in challenging, ambiguous, or intense situations.
  • Display humility and courage in proposing, developing, and defending ideas passionately.
  • Continuously improve workplace efficiency by adjusting processes, organizational structures, and tools.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as an established technical leader of software engineering teams that have successfully delivered customer-driven software products.
  • Demonstrated experience leading positive change, empowering people, cultivating product-technology visions and innovative solutions, and fostering effective engineering teams. Adept at articulating the product vision and driving the future roadmap with strong business acumen.
  • Passion for being at the leading edge of technology with 8-12 years of hands-on software development experience (preferably AWS tech stack, Java, and modern web/mobile).
  • Experience building platform or ecosystem products - SDKs, APIs, plugin/extension frameworks, embedded widgets, multi-tenant services, or developer platforms that other teams build on.
  • Desire or experience working with Fintech, Regtech, and Money Movement such as RTP, FedNow, ACH, cards, crypto, stablecoins, and virtual currencies.
  • Strong grounding in identity and security for embedded experiences - OAuth/OIDC, federated identity, token exchange, KYC, and safe cross-origin PII handling.
  • Expertise in system design for distributed systems, with a track record of secure, high-availability, low-latency services.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and SaaS technologies.
  • Understanding of building or integrating functional AI models - LLM prompting, AutoML, and agentic patterns - into customer-facing applications and services.
  • Preferably experience working with global teams, especially in the US.
  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science or equivalent work-related experience.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at ). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
