Full Job Description
As an Associate within the Management Consulting, Revenue Growth & Operations practice, you will become an impactful contributor in one of the fastest growing and most entrepreneurial groups within RSM that is focused on supporting clients in the Life Sciences industry. You will have the resources and cross functional support of the largest middle market firm but will be able to operate in a lean and agile environment where your ideas and experience can directly shape what service offerings we provide to our clients and how we approach them. We are continually looking to expand our scope of services and industries and need your help to do it.
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need to be a pricing expert or have years of life sciences experience. If you’re curious, comfortable working with numbers, and eager to learn a specialized and in-demand area of healthcare consulting, we encourage you to apply, even if you don’t check every box.
Responsibilities:
• Work alongside experienced consultants on projects for pharmaceutical and biotech clients, helping them understand how drug pricing, discounts, and rebates affect their revenue (known as Gross-to-Net, or GTN). You’ll also get exposure to government pricing, contract analysis, compliance reviews, and Fair Market Value work.
• Support the team’s Gross-to-Net and Government Pricing work, including helping prepare materials and insights that show clients how we can help them.
• Help build pricing models and analyses for key government price points, such as Average Manufacturer Price (AMP), Best Price, and Average Sales Price (ASP). Don’t worry if these terms are new to you; we’ll teach you what they mean and why they matter.
• Contribute to projects that help clients set up and run pricing programs that meet government and commercial requirements.
• Use your analytical skills (Excel, data analysis, or financial modeling) to dig into client data and help uncover meaningful insights.
• Collaborate with your project team and build relationships with clients, with plenty of opportunities to grow your communication skills and gain exposure to senior client leaders.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree required
• 1-2 years of professional consulting experience or relevant industry experience
• Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex business problems through fact gathering, business process mapping and data analysis
• Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity
• Excellent verbal and written communication, project management, and organization skills
• Client service and relationship building skills
• Must be a team player; demonstrate attention to detail and problem-solving skills; able to effectively work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness and ability to travel 25-50%+
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Engineering (biomedical, mechanical, computer, chemical, or industrial), Supply Chain, Economics or Science related field
• Consulting Presence and ability to communicate with executives
• Industry experience in biopharma or life sciences preferred but not required
