Major Gift Officer

The Work You'll Lead
You will grow Atlas Free's impact by cultivating high-touch relationships with major donors and prospects, combining strategic thinking and personalized engagement to drive revenue and advance the mission to dismantle the sex trafficking business.
- Manage and steward a portfolio of 50 existing major donors while identifying, qualifying, and cultivating 100 new high-capacity prospects
- Develop and execute individualized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans
- Initiate and sustain relationships through in-person meetings, events, calls, and personalized outreach, confidently presenting giving opportunities aligned with donor interests and organizational priorities
- Collaborate with the Development Director on revenue forecasting, pipeline management, and progress toward financial targets
- Create tailored proposals, briefings, and ask strategies that clearly communicate impact, partnering with the Capital Campaign Manager and Program Team to align funding with measurable outcomes
- Lead high-touch donor stewardship at events and engagement points, ensuring donors feel valued, connected, and informed, while identifying new networking opportunities to expand access to high-capacity supporters
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM records of donor interactions and strategies, track and evaluate performance metrics, and produce monthly and quarterly revenue reports on donor and prospect activity
- Partner with the CRM Analyst and Development Director to identify new portfolio prospects and refine strategies for engagement, retention, and revenue growth using insights from donor research platforms
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- 5+ years of successful nonprofit fundraising experience, specializing in major gifts
- Proven ability to manage and grow a portfolio of high-capacity donors and a track record of securing six and seven-figure gifts.
- Demonstrated success in acquiring new major donors and securing multi-year commitments
- Strong relationship-building skills with individuals, churches, and corporate partners
- Highly organized and proactive, capable of managing a large donor portfolio
- Comfortable using CRMs such as Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, Virtuous, or Classy
- A degree in Business, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred
- Alignment with and commitment to Atlas Free's faith-based mission and values
Compensation
Anticipated hiring range for this position is $85,000 - $92,000 per year. Final compensation will consider the candidate's skills, education, experience, credentials, and geographic location. Ranges are informed by industry benchmarks, labor market data, internal equity, and organizational budget.
