Full Job Description
Position Summary

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform proactive and reactive maintenance on industrial mechanical and electrical systems and equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair and optimize production equipment. Day to day, you will coordinate with production, engineering and other maintenance personnel to conduct planned and predictive maintenance, solve problems and implement solutions quickly and safely to keep factory assets operating efficiently.

This position will initially work Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., and then transition into working 4, 10-hour days during training and orientation. Once 12 weeks of training and orientation are completed, the shift will transition to nights (6 p.m.-6 a.m.), operating on a 2-2-3 schedule format (week one: two days on, two days off, three days on; week two: two days off, two days on, three days off).

The starting pay for this position is $37.50/hr. with a strategic Maintenance Progression Plan that provides for increasing wages up to $41.78/hr., based on knowledge/skill demonstration, technical assessments and performance reviews. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain equipment and solve technical problems
  • Model safety and share mechanical and electrical expertise to train other team members and champion a safety-first work environment
  • Execute Planned Maintenance (PM) activities to proactively prevent failures and promote safe and efficient operations
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and equipment including motors, conveyors, bearings, gears, sprockets, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics and automation systems
  • Work to reduce unplanned stoppages through effective root cause analysis
  • Utilize mechanical and electrical tools, diagnostic instruments (meters), mechanical diagrams and schematics, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other digital tools to work safely and efficiently
  • Perform basic rigging, mechanical practices and welding skills in an industrial environment


REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of complex mechanical equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, military or related environment


OTHER
  • Must be willing to work 6:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. on a 2-2-3 schedule


The hourly pay for this position is $37.50. The pay progression plan is as follows: Maintenance Technician B $38.56/hour, Maintenance Technician A $41.78/hour. Please note that the pay provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
