How you will make history here...

Reporting to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for directing the work activities of maintenance personnel, contractors, and vendors involved in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining production machinery and equipment, as well as directing the fabrication and purchasing of parts/equipment as needed in the Bloomfield Operation. This position provides direct support for plant equipment, including troubleshooting, repairs, and acting as a technical advisor and "go-to" person for the operation. Additionally, the Maintenance Supervisor will train maintenance personnel or recommend appropriate training programs, prepare written performance reviews, and consistently enforce company policies related to safety, quality, workplace conduct, and attendance. The role also supports the Plant's Reliability Program by meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and participating in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings.

What you will do...
• Safety: Ensure that all jobs are performed safely.
• Scheduling: Schedule and follow up on work assignments in a manner that maximizes productivity and ensures work is executed as scheduled.
• Root Cause Analysis: Determine root causes of major repairs and implement the necessary corrective action to prevent recurrence.
• Job Status: Communicate daily job status reports to Planner, indicating those to be completed by the end of the shift and those expected to carry over.
• Work Orders: Provide clarification of Work Orders or Work Request to planner that are lacking sufficient information. Coordinate and complete Safety: Assist in coordination of plant Safety Programs. Must adhere to all GMP and Food Safety Policies and Practices.
• Process Improvement: Seek recommendations for improving work procedures and plans.
• Communication: Maintain open communications with all departments and personnel regarding safety, job efficiency, product quality, customer service, and housekeeping.
• Equipment: Maintain maintenance shop and equipment (5S).
• Training: Develop training needs for assigned mechanics.
• Team Management: Ensure the assigned mechanics understand their goals and objectives, and how they are contributing towards them by reviewing KPIs.

• People Management: Address all people/crew needs, including call-offs and changes in production schedules.
• Equipment Troubleshooting: Handle emergency breakdowns of computer-controlled production, product, and packaging equipment
• Employee Relations: Foster positive employee relations by recognizing exceptional work performance, teamwork, and contributions that support business objectives.
• Conflict Resolution: Resolve personnel issues and conflicts effectively.
• Contractor Management: Ensure contractors adhere to Pepperidge Farm safety standards and maintain high work quality.
• Policy Enforcement: Model and enforce company policies with all employees.

What you bring to the table (must haves)...
• High School Diploma/GED required
• 3+ years of maintenance
• 1+ years supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment

It would be great if you have (nice to haves)...
• Maintenance supervisory experience
• Bachelor's degree required, with 3 months of manufacturing experience. Team Lead experience will be considered.
• PLC experience
• SAP experience

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$78,100-$107,400

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
