Maintenance Supervisor - 3rd Shift
Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Maintenance Manager, responsible for leading and developing high performance work teams that specialize in the installation, operation and repair of machinery used in production. Also, responsible for managing quality performance, cost parameters, and customer service for internal customers. Leads others on 2nd / 3rd Shift.
Responsibilities:- Assists and directs the implementation of design modifications, repair of production equipment, mechanical safety installations and maintenance of other mechanical devices within the plant. The individual will oversee production processes, installation of new equipment and repair of mechanically functioning equipment, including boilers, air compressors, refrigeration, wastewater treatment, process equipment and controls.
- Works cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization.
- Supervises the day-to-day operations of a group of employees to assure a smooth workflow. Assigns, monitors, and reviews the progress and accuracy of assigned work.
- Estimates personnel needs and ensures adequate staffing to meet pre-established completion dates.
- Handles unusual or difficult inquiries / situations through direct personal action or refers to the appropriate individual.
- Responsible for training and development of subordinate staff, schedules and approves overtime, takes disciplinary actions, as necessary; addresses complaints and resolves issues.
- Supervisory responsibilities: Responsible for training and development of subordinate staff.
Hours: 10:45pm-7am. Must be able to work extended hours. Weekend and holiday hours may be required based on production's needs.
Education / Experience (Required)- Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technical discipline plus 2 years of technical production / operations experience OR Bachelor's degree plus 3years of military operations and leadership experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility OR High School Diploma and 7 plus years of technical production / operations or technical maintenance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience in Food Manufacturing or Industrial Maintenance Operations
- Supervisory, communication, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
- Computer and PLC skills.
- Experience in pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. Salary Range: $81,200 - $121,800. In most cases, candidates offered employment can expect to be hired at a pay rate near the middle of our salary ranges.
