The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, planning, organization, and execution of maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all production equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. This position provides strategic direction to the maintenance department, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and oversees maintenance supervisors, technicians, contractors, and support personnel. The Maintenance Manager partners with operations, engineering, safety, and quality teams to maximize equipment uptime and support business objectives.
- Lead and manage all maintenance operations, including preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
- Supervise Maintenance Supervisor and maintenance personnel across assigned shifts or locations.
- Develop and execute maintenance strategies that improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and control costs.
- Establish maintenance goals, KPIs, and performance metrics to drive operational excellence.
- Manage capital projects, maintenance spending, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and company standards.
- Direct maintenance planning and scheduling activities to minimize production disruptions.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, utilities, buildings, grounds, and support systems.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, productivity, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support production objectives.
- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
- Lead capital improvement, equipment installation, and facility upgrade projects.
- Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Ensure proper inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel and future leaders.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure effective use of computerized maintenance management systems
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
