Schedule: Full-Time | Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Facility: Steel & Poly Manufacturing
Team: 2-3 Maintenance Colleagues

Lead the Team. Keep Equipment Running. Drive Improvements

Greif is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance activities at our Steel & Poly manufacturing facility in St. Francis, Wisconsin.

This role is ideal for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys working alongside a small team, troubleshooting equipment, solving problems, and improving equipment reliability. With a team of just 2-3 maintenance colleagues, this manager will be close to the day-to-day operation and have the opportunity to make a direct impact on plant performance.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and support a small team responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
  • Plan and prioritize maintenance activities to minimize downtime and production disruptions.
  • Develop and improve preventive maintenance programs and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Perform and support repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment as needed.
  • Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend practical improvements.
  • Coordinate replacement parts, tools, and other resources needed to support manufacturing operations.
  • Support equipment fabrication, installation, and modifications as needed.
  • Coach and develop maintenance colleagues while setting clear priorities and expectations.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure equipment safety features and guarding are properly maintained.
  • Partner with production and other plant teams to support safe, efficient operations.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting experience.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment reliability.
  • Ability to assemble, disassemble, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on reducing downtime and improving equipment performance.

Compensation Range:

The pay range for this position is $94,400.00 - $160,700.00 annually. Typically, a competitive wage for new hires will fall between94,400.00 to96,000.00 annually. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short-term incentive.
