Full Job Description
The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Engineering Leader to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for leading the maintenance team, improving equipment reliability, and implementing effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead and enhance the daily operations of the maintenance department, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement maintenance planning, scheduling, and work order management processes.
  • Monitor key performance indicators to improve maintenance efficiency and equipment reliability.
  • Oversee and optimize preventive maintenance (PM) programs to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Manage relationships with equipment suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure reliable service and support.
  • Coordinate parts procurement and inventory to maintain equipment readiness and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food manufacturing regulations and standards.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to assist with equipment layouts, system upgrades, and installation projects.
  • Support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automation and robotic systems.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • Mechanical engineering degree OR 433A/442A millwright/electrician license with leadership experience
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience leading maintenance or engineering teams within a manufacturing or food processing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial machinery, automation, and robotic systems.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing preventive maintenance programs, purchasing activities, and third-party contractor management.
  • Proficient in maintenance planning software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Experience using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks is considered an asset.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage teams and priorities.
  • An engineering degree or technical background is beneficial but not essential.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation Range: $130,000-160,000/annually
