Job DescriptionMainframe with exp in Java, AWS, Github, Claude code
Key Responsibilities:Perform detailed system analysis, requirement gathering, and technical design for Mainframe applications.
Develop, enhance, maintain, and support applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
Analyze existing Mainframe batch applications, job streams, business processes, and application dependencies.
Perform impact analysis to assess the effects of application changes, modernization efforts, and decommissioning activities on upstream and downstream systems.
Analyze interfaces, data flows, batch schedules, and business rules to identify dependencies, risks, and modernization opportunities.
Support application rationalization and decommissioning of legacy Mainframe applications.
Participate in Mainframe modernization initiatives involving the migration and transformation of COBOL-DB2 applications into Java-based applications on AWS.
Utilize Claude-assisted code transformation tools to support code analysis, conversion, refactoring, and documentation activities.
Execute unit testing, integration testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Validate functional equivalence between legacy Mainframe applications and modernized Java applications.
Participate in production deployments and perform Post Verification Testing (PVT).
Provide periodic testing, production support, troubleshooting, and research support.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Maintain project documentation and work management activities using JIRA.
Be flexible and willing to work across different IST shifts based on project requirements.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: 85,000 - 96,655.
