Kennedys, a global law firm with offices throughout the US, seeks a full-time Paralegal with solid insurance litigation experience to join our team in our Los Angeles Office. This is a really exciting opportunity for an ambitious paralegal to join a growing, global law firm.
Key Responsibilities - Draft pleadings and motions, including all trial and pretrial filings, for state and federal courts
- Draft discovery responses, including production of documents
- Subpoena documents (including medical records) from third parties
- Review and summarize answers to discovery
- Review and summarize documents, including medical records
- Draft medical chronologies
- Organize documents productions
- Prepare exhibits for motions, depositions and trials
- Coordinate expert appointments and assignments
- Research (Westlaw) and other online sources
- Perform jury verdict searches
- Electronic filing
Required Skills and Experience - An inquisitive mind, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
- A thorough working knowledge of the Federal and California court systems
- 3-5+ years of litigation and insurance coverage experience
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
- Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-accredited program preferred or relevant years of experience.
The annualized salary range for this role is $80,000-$100,000. However, this is contingent upon level of experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
