Full Job Description
Clyde & Co is seeking a Litigation Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to work with their practice focused on third-party property damage and construction defense litigation. The ideal candidate is proactive, motivated, and organized and possesses superior writing skills. Prior property damage and/or construction defense litigation experience is preferred. The Associate will interact with our clients, and other domestic and international insurers in this space and in relation to other latent type insurance claims.

In this role you will:
  • Manage a caseload of 20-25 matters;
  • Take depositions, attending hearings, and mediations as required;
  • Draft and submit pleadings, motions and briefs;
  • Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients;
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis;
  • Draft discovery requests and discovery responses;
  • Review and analyze documents and materials for production;
  • Actively investigate claims and prepare case handling strategies;
  • Actively and effectively report to our insurance carrier clients and insureds;
  • Prepare cases for trial/mediation and participate in trial/mediation


Education and Experience
  • J.D.
  • Litigation experience
  • Experience taking depositions
  • Excellent academic credentials

The salary range for this position is $130,000-$145,000. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
