Summary:Responsible for hands-on commissioning, testing, qualification, sample final assembly, field service, and global training enablement for liquid cooling pump solutions during the build-up of the business incubator. The role combines customer-facing application support, test bench execution, service capability building, measurement data handling and practical feedback into product and process improvement.
Essential Functions of the Job:The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the following:
- Commission liquid cooling pumps and pump assemblies at customer sites, including functional checks, start-up support, troubleshooting and documentation of results.
- Capture, process and evaluate measurement data from customer commissioning, test bench activities and field service assignments; translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Perform test bench measurements, characterization and qualification of pumps, including hydraulic, electrical, thermal, acoustic and endurance-related validation as applicable.
- Prepare, execute and document test plans, validation reports, customer-specific trial runs and release recommendations for pump samples and application setups.
- Carry out field service activities for pumps, including diagnostics, seal replacement, component exchange, corrective actions and verification after service work.
- Perform final assembly, configuration and functional verification of pump prototypes, samples and customer-specific demonstrators.
- Support installation readiness, service concepts, tools, spare parts and documentation for new liquid cooling pump applications.
- Build practical know-how from early customer projects and feed lessons learned back to R&D, product management, quality, operations and suppliers.
- Train and qualify partner companies, service providers and internal employees for commissioning, measurement, test bench and field service activities.
- Develop and maintain global training programs, work instructions, service manuals, checklists and qualification standards for repeatable worldwide execution.
- Support root cause analysis, issue resolution and continuous improvement for pump performance, reliability, assembly and serviceability topics.
- Act as a flexible hands-on expert during the ramp-up phase, supporting customer projects, internal prototypes, lab activities and field assignments as priorities evolve.

Recommended Education and/or Experience - Technical apprenticeship, bachelor's degree or comparable qualification in mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, fluid technology, HVAC, service engineering or a related field.
- Mandatory: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in at least one relevant field: industrial pumps, hydronic systems, liquid cooling, test bench operation, field service, commissioning, prototype build or industrial measurement technology.
- Strong practical problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently at customer sites, in the lab and on the test bench with high quality, safety and documentation standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, service instructions and test specifications; confident use of standard measurement equipment and documentation tools.
- Experience creating or improving service documentation, work instructions, training material, checklists or qualification standards is strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel internationally and support customer-facing assignments; strong communication skills in English are required, German or additional languages are beneficial.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with R&D, application engineering, product management, quality, operations, suppliers, partner companies and regional teams in a global build-up environment.
