Position Overview: As our Life Cycle Engineering Lead you will oversee daily Life Cycle Engineering activities, manage related projects under the Manager of Engineering Services, and provide technical guidance across inspections, evaluations, and documentation. You will direct LCE project staff and communicate frequently with internal and external stakeholders, including customer engineers, BWXT Field Services, and Project Accounting. This role also requires occasional travel and work outside regular business hours during multi-week outages.

Your Day to Day as our Life Cycle Engineering Lead: - Lead and mentor Life Cycle Engineering staff, overseeing daily activities, workload prioritization, training needs, and performance goals.
- Provide technical direction and ensure all work meets required codes, standards, and procedures.
- Review and approve engineering assessments and evaluations supporting the integrity and return-to-service of nuclear plant equipment.
- Lead engineering evaluations during maintenance outages and guide decisions on repair and maintenance activities.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and updates, and serve as the primary technical contact for customer engineering teams.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for life-cycle programs and support related Field Services proposals.
- Ensure compliance with departmental procedures, quality assurance requirements, and project management processes.
- Complete assigned Engineering Services deliverables, interface with customers and vendors, and support proposal development for related projects.
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Chemistry, or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in nuclear pressure-vessel equipment design and operation, including ASME and CSA code familiarity, and understanding of common degradation mechanisms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop practical, innovative technical solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng).
- Experience with Engineering Change Control processes, project management principles, and basic financial concepts is an asset.
Security Clearance:This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario (CA-ON) at the start of employment is expected to be between $92,000 and $142,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
