Licensed Professional Counselor Connecticut Telehealth Therapy Position

Job Summary

This full-time role gives an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor the opportunity to provide structured, client-centered therapy from a remote setting. You will work with clients who need support managing emotional concerns, daily stressors, personal challenges, and mental health symptoms that affect their relationships, work, and quality of life.

The day-to-day work includes scheduled virtual sessions, intake evaluations, treatment planning, clinical documentation, and ongoing progress review. The position is designed for an LPC who values professional structure, clear communication, and consistent client care.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $115,000-$120,000 annually, plus full benefits
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Responsibilities
  • Conduct scheduled therapy sessions with clients using a confidential telehealth system
  • Evaluate client concerns, symptoms, strengths, and treatment goals during the intake process
  • Build clear treatment plans that guide ongoing counseling services
  • Provide therapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, adjustment issues, stress, and relationship difficulties
  • Document sessions, progress updates, assessments, and care changes in the clinical record
  • Identify risk factors and take appropriate action when a client needs higher-level support
  • Maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards during remote care
  • Participate in case-related communication when collaboration is needed
  • Keep client records organized, accurate, and compliant with privacy regulations

Requirements
  • Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
  • Active Connecticut Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in good standing
  • Experience providing therapy to adults, couples, families, or diverse client populations preferred
  • Strong understanding of clinical assessment, treatment planning, and progress notes
  • Comfortable using telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems
  • Able to work independently while maintaining strong clinical judgment
  • Telehealth experience or additional training in CBT, trauma-informed care, DBT, or related areas is a plus
