Full Job Description
Skills and Competencies
  • 5-7 years of experience in corporate communications, financial communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field; experience in consulting, supporting a ratings agency, financial institution, or other regulated industry is a plus
  • Proven writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex information and tailor messages for both internal and external audiences
  • Experience leading communications projects or campaigns in a corporate or agency environment, including partnering with external communications, media relations, or public affairs teams
  • Strategic thinker and self-starter who can connect dots across teams, messages, and priorities, and can lead others through ambiguity
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically, propose solutions, and guide others in fast-moving situations
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities with a balance of precision and big-picture thinking
  • Collaborative and professional, with confidence working across levels, geographies, and functions, including senior stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Responsibilities

Drive high-impact communications for Moody's Ratings-shaping executive messaging, strategic campaigns, and stakeholder content across a global organization.
  • Lead the development and execution of communications supporting Moody's Ratings-including executive messaging, intranet content, leader resources, and campaign assets-aligned to Moody's tone of voice and strategic priorities
  • Apply strategic and critical thinking to understand business context and audience needs, turning inputs from multiple sources into cohesive, high-impact communications
  • Take a leadership role in planning and executing high-priority communications initiatives and campaigns, connecting individual messages to broader narratives and business goals
  • Partner with senior leaders across Global Communications and the broader Corporate Affairs team to assess communications challenges and recommend thoughtful, practical solutions
  • Use judgment to anticipate questions, risks, or gaps in messaging, and proactively address them through clear and well-structured content
  • Own how communications effectiveness is measured, using tracking, reporting, and insights to continuously refine strategy
  • Work cross-functionally with colleagues across Corporate Affairs-including external communications, social media, brand, and public affairs-to gather information and align messaging
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders by listening carefully, asking the right questions, and translating input into clear, high-impact communications

Sitting within Corporate Affairs, we work closely with colleagues across external communications, brand, and public affairs. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $86,000.00 - $124,700.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
