Summary
Provide secretarial, administrative, word processing, and clerical support for partners and associates. This is a busy litigation desk and requires a highly organized individual who also has knowledge of ECFs and litigation documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Including but not limited to the following:
• Provides general administrative support for lawyers which may include drafting, editing, and formatting correspondence and legal documents.
• Organizes and maintains file systems, arranges meetings, coordinates conferences and travel plans, and handles billing and expense reimbursement.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication via telephone and in-person with lawyers, clients, and other staff within the Firm.

• Assist with client billing and support
• Handle confidential and personal matters as directed
• Maintain daily and advance calendars for attorneys
• Court filings; federal and state
• Correctly format court pleadings according to applicable court rules including the auto-generation of tables of authorities (TOAs) and tables of contents (TOCs)
• Research state and federal rules of court and work with attorneys to ensure adherence to rules of court and codes of civil procedure
• Utilize the Pacer platform for e-filing
• Occasional work on a substitute basis for one or more lawyers
In addition, responsibilities related to maintaining Firm and client informationare to be adhered to by all employees. This includes complying with the Firm's information security policies, protecting Firm assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference, and reporting security events or potential events or other security risks to management.
Qualifications
• Minimum three years prior legal secretarial experience supporting litigation in a law firm, including knowledge of litigation forms and electronic filing in state and federal courts
• Accurate typing and word processing skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Legal Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Elite 3E, and Chrome River
• Proficiency with time entry programs, preferably InTapp
• Highly organized, professional and adaptable
• Excellent spelling, grammar and communication skills
• Ability to understand and follow instructions and work productively with limited supervision
• Regular attendance and acceptable punctuality
• Availability to work overtime as needed
• Ability and willingness to learn new procedures and technology
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma required, four-year college degree preferred or university or equivalent work experience.

Compensation
The base salary range offered for this role will be between $80,000 and $100,000. This role is also overtime and bonus eligible. When determining a candidate's compensation offer, elements unique to each person are taken into consideration including but not limited to skill set, experience level, performance, professional certifications, degrees and location, as well as the needs of the Firm.
