This position is based at the corporate office in Oklahoma City.BASIC PURPOSE: The Senior Manager of Workforce Management is responsible for designing and executing enterprise workforce strategies that optimize labor resources, align staffing with business demand, and drive operational efficiency. This role leads workforce planning, forecasting, scheduling, and task management functions, ensuring seamless alignment between corporate strategy and field operations. This leader also owns tactical operational communication and task distribution; ensuring clear, timely, and actionable direction to field teams. The role partners closely with operations, HR, finance, and senior leadership to balance service levels, labor costs, and productivity across a multi-site environment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:- Develop and execute enterprise workforce management strategies aligned with business objectives, operational priorities, financial goals, growth plans, and the organization's long-term workforce needs
- Lead short- and long-range capacity planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels, labor availability, and workforce capabilities across all locations and functions
- Translate business forecasts, customer demand, new locations, acquisitions, and organizational initiatives into actionable staffing models, labor plans, and workforce deployment strategies
- Oversee demand forecasting using historical trends, predictive analytics, and business inputs
- Design and optimize scheduling models to improve productivity, service levels, and labor efficiency
- Ensure effective utilization of workforce management systems and scheduling tools
- Oversee enterprise task assignment strategy, ensuring field teams receive clear, prioritized, and actionable work
- Align task distribution with labor availability, business priorities, and operational capacity
- Establish standards for task execution, tracking, and accountability across field operations
- Continuously improve task optimization processes to reduce inefficiencies and enhance execution consistency
- Lead tactical operational communication to field teams, ensuring clarity, consistency, and timeliness of messaging
- Serve as a central point of coordination between corporate functions and field operations
- Ensure tactical communications are actionable, well-prioritized, and aligned with workforce plans and business objectives
- Partner with operations leadership to streamline channels and reduce noise or redundancy
- Analyze labor, productivity, and operational performance data to identify trends and opportunities
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards related to forecasting accuracy, labor utilization, and task completion
- Establish measures to quantify the financial and operational value of workforce management initiatives and transformation investments
- Drive labor cost optimization strategies while maintaining service levels and employee experience
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workforce productivity and efficiency
- Establish governance and controls around workforce planning, scheduling, and task management
- Partner with operations, HR, finance, and other stakeholders to align workforce and execution strategies
- Partner with HR, Legal, Payroll, and Risk Management to identify and mitigate wage and hour, workforce, operational, technology, and data risks
- Influence senior leadership on labor trade-offs, productivity initiatives, and operational priorities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing workforce management team
- Ensure scheduling and task practices support employee engagement, retention, and work-life balance
- Improve transparency, fairness, and usability of workforce and task systems
- Support change management efforts tied to workforce transformation initiatives
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, finance, operations, analytics, industrial engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Ten or more years of progressively responsible experience in workforce management, workforce planning, labor forecasting, scheduling, operations, analytics, or a related discipline preferred
- Five or more years of leadership experience leading enterprise teams, cross-functional programs, or large-scale workforce transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated experience supporting complex, multi-site, high-volume, or field-based operations.
- Experience developing labor strategies, forecasting models, executive analytics, technology roadmaps, and productivity initiatives with measurable business impact
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business strategy into workforce capacity, labor, scheduling, technology, and execution plans
- Advanced knowledge of workforce planning, demand forecasting, labor optimization, scheduling, task management, timekeeping, workforce analytics, and operating performance measures
- Experience with enterprise workforce management systems and related technologies; UKG and/or WorkJam experience preferred
- Strong financial and analytical acumen, including labor budgeting, business case development, predictive analytics, scenario planning, and performance measurement
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership, align diverse stakeholders, communicate complex trade-offs, and lead across organizational boundaries
- Proven record of leading transformation, process redesign, technology adoption, governance, and change management in a complex operating environment
- Exceptional leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, problem-solving, prioritization, and organizational skills
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to protect confidential and sensitive information
