Job DescriptionWe are looking for exceptionally motivated, self-starting engineer with strong experience building distributed, high-throughput applications that scale.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our product and design teams to understand customer needs, come up with solutions, and then prototype, iterate and launch frequently
- Be an owner of what you build as you architect, test, and refine the Mavrx platform
- Tackle a wide variety of technical problems throughout the stack and contribute daily to all parts of our code base
- Develop APIs, both to power continuing product development and to interact with third parties
- Analyze and optimize code for efficiency and performance
QualificationsRequirements
- Solid knowledge of Python and the following frameworks: Django, Django REST framework, Fabric
- Keen grasp of scalability, systems engineering, design patterns, and algorithms
- Mastery of relational databases (MySQL and PostgresSQL) for high-performance environments (experience with NoSQL solutions like MongoDB, CouchDB and Cassandra a big plus)
- Strong experience with JavaScript (including: jQuery, Backbone, RequireJS), and familiarity with CSS and HTML
- Experience with cloud-based (AWS) infrastructure
- Ability to define and implement software development best practices including test-driven development
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or strong computer science fundamentals (Java / C++)
