Full Job Description
The primary purpose and function of the Lead Specialist, Leadership Development is to support the ongoing development and success of PDS leaders through coaching on effective leadership and/ talent development. This individual is considered a subject matter expert in PDS culture, platform, and leadership model. They effectively transfer this knowledge to PDS leaders in efforts to drive results which exceed organizational goals. Considered trusted advisor whom supports leadership in leveraging talent pool, clarifying objectives, and optimizing operational performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports the development of regional and support department leadership to ensure that PDS goals are fulfilled through coaching workshops, strategic planning, monthly meetings, presentations etc.
  • Transfers knowledge and leadership skills that allow leaders to take on the entrepreneurial mindset and responsibility of consistently improving and providing growth within their region or department while still supporting the standards of the PDS platform
  • Is a subject matter expert of PDS culture and platform, as well as the PDS Leadership Model. Coaches and supports development of other leaders in the use of these concepts and structure to increase effectiveness and drive results.
  • Supports and empowers newly promoted leaders in adapting to their new roles and responsibilities effectively, while maintaining a high level of support for tenured leaders to help drive performance.
  • Collaborate with Regional Partners (RPs), Regional Talent Development support, and other regional leaders in clearly defining and communicating regional leadership objectives. Support them in the development of strategies that are tailored to individual needs in order to achieve their development objectives.
  • Helps create and execute on strategy for PDS University
  • Host and/or schedule both nationally led and support Monthly Manager Development Meetings.
  • Support Regional Partners and/or Regional Managers on optimizing managers effectiveness and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with leadership and support development plans for dentists or other team leaders who could benefit from additional specialized training.
  • Implement, facilitate, and maintain approved training, following standards and ensuring consistency in all training programs in coordination with the PDS Learning and Training department
  • Provide all necessary documentation, support guideline adherence and efficient recordkeeping to assist the Learning & Training department in sustaining continuing education accreditations for the AGD (Academy of General Dentistry)/PACE (Program Approval for Continuing Education).
  • Analyze and measure impact of training methodologies and processes focused on continual improvement efforts with other team members to ensure alignment of PDS and its supported practices.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher with an Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, Education or Communication emphasis. In lieu of degree, 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 5-7+ years of working in a professional Organizational Development environment or a combination of directly related experience.
  • 5+ year experience coaching senior leaders
  • Experience working within company with over 3,000 employees and multi-state operations.
  • Public speaking
  • Travel up to 50%

Preferred:
  • Coaching Certificate
  • P & L experience

  • Ability to develop strategies and communicate effectively and present information, both verbally and written, to executive level management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive improvement in areas of training and development.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
  • Ability to develop partnerships with key leadership which allows for high level of trust
  • Organizational ability by demonstrating a systematic approach in carrying out assignments.

  • Display independent judgment by willingness to make timely and accurate decisions based on available information that is sometimes vague or limited in nature.

  • Team player and contributor coupled with excellent communication skills that can be tailored to each individual in order to achieve optimal leadership.
  • Familiarity with various educational models.
  • Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with Company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.
