Lead Enterprise Solution Architect (Anaplan) Role Summary The Lead Enterprise Solution Architect (Anaplan) reports into the Senior Manager, Anaplan Enterprise Architecture and serves as the senior technical authority supporting the Anaplan Enterprise Leader across all technical aspects of the Anaplan platform. This role leads enterprise solution architecture, defines model design standards, drives integration patterns, and governs environment and delivery practices for scalable, reliable, and controlled planning solutions. The role partners across FP&A, IT, Data Engineering, and business leadership to translate strategy into technical execution and platform outcomes across the enterprise. Enterprise Architecture Ownership • Lead end-to-end platform architecture across planning domains in alignment with enterprise priorities • Develop scalable solution designs that meet defined business and technical requirements • Define architecture patterns for model structure, ALM, performance, and modular design across the platform • Ensure Anaplan solutions remain aligned to enterprise planning architecture, platform standards, and long-term scalability goals Data & Integration Strategy • Lead technical design for integrations with Snowflake, Power BI, ERP, CRM, and HR systems in partnership with Data Engineering • Define enterprise planning data model standards, including hierarchies, structures, and governance controls • Monitor data consistency, usability, and scalability across connected systems Solution Design Governance • Set modeling standards, guardrails, and best practices for enterprise Anaplan solutions • Govern ALM, release management, and deployment controls across the Anaplan platform • Ensure audit readiness, data security, SOX alignment, and control compliance across solution design and platform operations Platform Leadership & Delivery • Provide enterprise technical leadership across Anaplan initiatives, architecture decisions, and platform changes • Direct model builders and architects on design decisions, build quality, and issue resolution • Own platform performance, reliability, and scalability reviews and proactively address technical risks Stakeholder Engagement • Partner with Product Ownership, FP&A, IT, and leadership on planning solutions • Lead architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical decision-making forums • Influence stakeholders to align solution decisions with business outcomes, platform standards, and enterprise priorities Roadmap & Strategy • Shape the Anaplan platform roadmap by translating enterprise priorities into technical plans, sequencing, and implementation direction • Drive Connected Planning strategy through architecture direction, platform recommendations, and solution enablement • Identify opportunities for automation and integration Leadership & Team Development • Mentor architects and model builders and raise technical capability across the Anaplan delivery team • Document and reinforce delivery standards, modeling practices, and technical playbooks • Provide technical oversight for vendor and partner contributions to ensure adherence to architecture and delivery standards • Lead platform governance, auditability, and control execution through defined technical processes and standards Experience • 5+ years as a Certified Anaplan Solution Architect with demonstrated ownership of complex enterprise solution architecture • 5+ years supporting planning solutions within an IT department, including cross-functional delivery, platform support, and stakeholder alignment • 5+ years working with data in a data warehouse environment, including enterprise data structures, integration design, and data quality considerations • 5+ years working with SOX controls, with the ability to apply control, auditability, and compliance requirements to solution design and platform operations The annual pay range for this position is $91,000 - $145,400 CAD #LI-WH1 Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available. Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
