Primary Responsibilities
End-to-End Application Delivery: Manage the full lifecycle of medium-to-large enterprise applications, delivering scalable and well-tested code aligned with business goals.
Architecture & Innovation: Partner across teams to design robust solutions, integrate innovative technologies, and optimize system performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Production Support & Troubleshooting: Monitor live environments, provide on-call rotation support, and deliver rapid resolutions to complex operational issues.
System Reliability & Stability: Maintain 24/7/365 uptime for critical applications by resolving bottlenecks and establishing advanced monitoring and alerting frameworks.
Required Skills & Attributes
Java & Microservices: 5+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE experience using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Cloud, and REST/SOAP web services.
Databases & Environments: 5+ years optimizing relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DB2, Oracle) with strong SQL skills; 3+ years in UNIX/Linux scripting and job scheduling.
Messaging & Streaming: 3+ years with messaging queues and event platforms (JMS, MQ, WMQ, Kafka) for asynchronous workflows.
DevOps, CI/CD & Observability: 3+ years configuring pipelines (Jenkins, Terraform), cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, OpenShift), containers (Docker, K8s), and log monitoring tools (Splunk, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana).
Agile SDLC: 5+ years across the full SDLC; 3+ years in Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments with Git.
Mandatory AI Capabilities: Enterprise-mandated baseline proficiency (90%+ weekly active usage) in approved GenAI tools (GitHub Copilot, M365 Copilot) for code generation, documentation, and analysis.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
Cloud & Security: Cloud-native expertise (AWS Lambda/serverless), secure coding practices, IAM, and compliance frameworks (PCI-DSS, HIPAA).
Performance Tuning: Hands-on experience optimizing Java application runtimes, SQL queries, and infrastructure.
Preferred Background & Domain Expertise
Background in financial services, healthcare, or e-commerce.
Proven track record in high-volume, mission-critical environments with real-time event processing and scalable architecture design
