Job Details

Salesforce powers some of the largest companies on the globe with its core CRM offering. One of the components of this infrastructure that helps achieve the global scale involves network software that provides optimized and secure connectivity - between our customers and the application, between our data centers and customer applications. The Connectivity and Edge teams are responsible for delivering many of the complex software products that deliver this experience to our customers. As our service and platform grow to fully embrace lights-out operations, single-click deploy to tens of thousands of nodes, and services that self-heal and self-optimize, we have to balance this with global scale and traffic distribution to enhance our end user experience.

Edge is hiring a backend Java engineer with distributed systems, micro-services, and public cloud experience to support this growth. The role will lead the design, development, testing, and operations of both the Edge Control plane service and the Edge Intelligence service. The Edge Control plane automates Edge enablement for our customers. Edge Intelligence provides Real-time analytics capabilities which is used to self-heal and self-optimize Edge and Connectivity services.
