Your ImpactThe Lead Software Engineer for Visibility is a senior, hands-on technical leader responsible for the design, development, support, and continuous evolution of Visibility solutions across TG Insights and legacy Visibility products.
Working closely with Lead Developers, Principal Engineers, Global Architects, Product Management, Professional Services, and Cloud Operations teams, this role provides technical leadership during North American business hours, helping drive architecture decisions, software delivery, client success, and operational excellence.
What the role offers:As a Lead Software Developer, you will:- Design, develop, enhance, and support scalable, secure, and high-performing Visibility solutions.
- Translate business requirements into practical, maintainable, and efficient technical solutions.
- Collaborate with Global Architects and senior engineering leaders on architecture, design, and technology decisions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and engineering best practices across the Business Network Visibility organization.
- Serve as a technical escalation point for development, production, and client-impacting issues.
- Lead investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution of critical production incidents and customer escalations.
- Drive improvements in reliability, observability, operational efficiency, and overall system performance.
- Partner closely with Professional Services during customer implementations, go-lives, and issue resolution activities.
- Influence TG Insights product direction through deep Visibility domain expertise and technical insight.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools and prompt engineering techniques to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity.
What you need to Succeed:- Expert-level experience with Java 17/21 and developing Spring Boot microservices.
- Strong expertise in distributed systems, REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Deep experience with Apache Kafka, including consumer groups, partitioning, offset management, schema evolution, and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Database and Cassandra in scalable enterprise environments.
- Proven ability to design, build, and support highly available, scalable enterprise applications with strong software architecture and design pattern expertise.
- Experience developing and operating cloud-native solutions in AWS and GCP, with a focus on resiliency, observability, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Anthos, Istio Service Mesh, Helm, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD.
- Experience supporting enterprise SaaS platforms, production incident resolution, AI-assisted software development, globally distributed teams, and large-scale event-driven architectures in supply chain, logistics, transportation, visibility, or enterprise analytics domains.

Salary Range: $143,400.00 - 215,000.00; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
California Residents: The pay range above is a reasonable estimate of salary based on pay scale, candidate experience, skills, and education. In addition to the comprehensive benefits noted above, the role may be eligible for bonus or commissions.
