Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent aerospace industry experience.
• 5+ years of aerospace shot peening experience; 10+ preferred.
• Hands-on experience with automated, manual, tumble peening, and shot peen forming processes.
• Demonstrated experience with NADCAP and AS9100 standards.
• Strong understanding of shot peening theory and process validation.
• Familiarity with Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, and Bombardier specifications preferred.
• Project management and continuous improvement experience required.
• Effective leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority for shot peening processes and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with industry specifications and customer requirements.
• Lead audits for NADCAP and customer evaluations.
• Develop and maintain technique sheets and process specifications.
• Oversee calibration and quality measurement systems.
• Manage preventive maintenance and equipment performance tracking.
• Administer document control aligned with AS9100 standards.
• Develop and implement training programs for operators.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting activities.
• Drive process improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with aerospace customers and partners.
• Serve as a liaison for technical communications with customers.
