Responsibilities

  • Conduct Structured Care Reviews (SCR) with primary clinicians focusing on systemic reviews and oversight.
  • Suggest treatment modifications, including medications and clinical protocols to primary care providers.
  • Deliver evidence-based care to patients.
  • Engage with a varied patient demographic, including adults, young adults, and children.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in distress.
  • Ensure accurate and prompt documentation of patient interactions.

  • $220,000 - $270,000+ inclusive of a guarantee plus clinical hour-based incentives

What You Bring
  • MD with an active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain licensure) in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
  • Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain without restriction).
  • 3+ years of experience providing medical direction and supervision, particularly with Medicare patients.
  • Board certified or board eligible in General Psychiatry.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Geriatric Psychiatry or Consult/Liaison Psychiatry is preferred.
  • Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) participation is preferred, but not required.
What You'll Do
  • Provide Structured Care Review (SCR) to primary treating clinician through systematic case review and treatment plan oversight (average of 32 review hours per week and 6 to 10 patient reviews per hour). Focus on Medicare patients in market.
  • Recommend any treatment adjustments, including specific medication and lab/imaging/study order recommendations, treatment plan adjustments, or advised clinical protocols directly with the primary care provider
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based care
  • Work with adults, young adults, and/or children
  • Support patients in crisis with appropriate interventions
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation
