Job Overview:

Job Summary:**

The Lead Project Controls Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules for Primoris Energy Services projects in Independence, Missouri. This role ensures projects are completed on time and within budget through meticulous scheduling and progress tracking.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other relevant scheduling software for all phases of energy service projects (engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning).
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and construction teams to gather necessary schedule input and ensure alignment.
* Perform critical path analysis, identify potential schedule risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
* Monitor project progress against baselines, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
* Prepare and present regular schedule updates, progress reports, and forecasts to project stakeholders and senior management.
* Facilitate schedule review meetings and workshops to ensure all team members understand project timelines and their responsibilities.
* Develop and maintain work breakdown structures (WBS) and activity definitions.
* Conduct "what-if" scenario analysis to evaluate potential impacts of changes or delays.
* Support claims analysis and dispute resolution by providing accurate and detailed schedule information.
* Ensure adherence to company scheduling standards, procedures, and best practices.
* Mentor and provide guidance to junior schedulers or project controls personnel.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in project controls scheduling within the energy, oil & gas, or heavy industrial construction sectors.
* Proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.
* Strong understanding of project management principles, including WBS, critical path method (CPM), and earned value management (EVM).
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with all levels of project personnel and management.
* Experience with other project controls software (e.g., MS Project, Oracle EPPM) is a plus.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* PMP or PMI-SP certification is a plus.
