The RoleCorporate mobility hasn't really changed in 20 years. It still runs on paper contracts, carrier account reps, and spreadsheets. IT leaders juggle a separate contract in every country, take on surprise roaming fees, mail physical SIMs, and cancel lines by hand weeks after someone leaves. Every company with a distributed workforce lives with this mess, and almost nobody has tried to fix it.
Gigs for Work is fixing it. Our vision is employee connectivity that works like modern software: set up automatically on day one, follows the employee across borders, and shuts off on their last day without anyone filing a ticket. Companies already use Gigs for Work to activate, manage, and pay for employee phone plans in 25+ countries. That includes enterprise SIMs on top networks, eSIMs delivered over Slack, Teams, WhatsApp, or email, provisioning tied to the employee lifecycle, and one invoice across every country. Teams can run it from our dashboard or plug it into their IT stack so it runs itself.
As Lead Product Manager for Gigs for Work, you'll own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap end to end, working directly with the GM and GTM teams. This is a rare chance to rebuild a whole category from first principles, with the platform underneath to actually ship it.
What You Will Do- Set the vision and own the roadmap. Define where Gigs for Work goes over the next several years, and build a multi-cycle roadmap that serves customers now without losing sight of that vision.
- Get deep into your customers' world. This product has several buyers with different needs. IT wants zero tickets. People teams want a great first day. Finance wants one predictable invoice. Procurement wants fewer vendors. Spend real time with each of them, read support threads, study usage data, and turn what you learn into sharp problem statements the team can rally around. You should know our customers' pain better than they can put it into words.
- Think like an architect, not a feature factory. Map the product and systems as they exist today against where they need to be, then make the calls on data models, abstractions, and platform investments that let us launch a new country or integration in days, not quarters. Turn that into a back-end roadmap that removes manual work and makes the team faster every cycle.
- Automate an industry that still runs on manual work. Carrier systems weren't built for this, especially across a long tail of markets. Use AI and automation to fill the gaps they leave. Define what "best" looks like in our most important markets, and design how that standard scales everywhere else.
- Make the dashboard optional. Build integrations with the systems customers already run, like HRIS, identity, and MDM, so lines follow the employee lifecycle automatically and admins rarely need to log in.
- Run the product engine. Own the weekly cadence with your engineering and design partners, covering discovery, specs, build vs. buy calls, roadmap reviews, and launches.
- Deepen what's live. Work closely with Sales and Customer Success to sharpen and extend what we've already shipped, based on what customers are actually doing with it.
- Write the narrative. Write the docs that get leadership and cross-functional teams aligned on strategy, risks, and the bets we're making.
What We Are Looking For- 7+ years of product management, including owning a product area or portfolio with real business impact. You set its strategy and multi-cycle roadmap and made the hard tradeoffs between short-term wins and long-term bets.
- You've built something from an early stage, or redefined how an established category works, and you can write a vision that makes people want to build it.
- Deep B2B customer empathy. You've shipped for enterprise buyers and know how to serve several stakeholders at once (IT, Finance, People, Procurement) without building a product that pleases none of them. You back your instincts with data and pull it yourself in SQL.
- Systems thinking. You're at home in integration-heavy, operations-heavy products, can go deep with engineers on APIs and data models, and know when to invest in the platform versus ship the feature.
- You do well with messy realities: legacy partners, inconsistent systems across markets, and manual processes waiting to be automated. You see the mess as the opportunity.
- Hands-on with modern AI tools, with a clear view of where they replace manual operations and change how products get built.
- You make calls with imperfect information, own the outcome, and keep things moving.
- Your writing is crisp enough to align executives and cross-org teams around a strategy.
Bonus points if- Experience in telecom, connectivity, payments, or another industry built on legacy infrastructure
- Built integrations with HRIS, identity (Okta, Entra), or MDM systems
- Launched products across many countries with different local rules
