Lead MFM FE Sonographer

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Lead Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer, you will coordinate services and activities specific to the MFM Ultrasound Department. You will monitor all technical and clerical functions, which include efficient patient throughput and effective utilization of equipment and human resources, based upon patient load. You will maintain Performance Improvement and Quality Control activities. You will follow all established Ultrasound and hospital policies and procedures. You will implement a procedure plan that falls within established protocols.

  • You will lead and oversee the MFM department to ensure the quality of work
  • You will be accountable for MFM Ultrasound Department functions and responsibilities
  • You will contribute to the effective management of the MFM Ultrasound Department
  • You will be responsible for providing diagnostic patient care services for routine and high-risk obstetrical cases using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures
  • You must have advanced knowledge in various fetal conditions and anomalies as well as knowledge of contributing high-risk maternal factors

Experience and Education
  • Five years' experience as a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer-preferred
  • Graduate of an educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Associate's degree or higher in related technological field-required
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • (NT) Nuchal Translucency Scan
  • (NB) Nasal Bone Certification
  • (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
  • (RDMS-FE) RDMS Fetal Echocardiography
  • (RDMS-OB/GYN) RDMS Obstetrics & Gynecology
