Position Introduction/Key Duties
Watring and Cimarron are seeking a
Lead Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineer to support our team in Huntsville, AL.
Key Duties:- Lead mechanical design and manufacturing engineering efforts in support of aerospace systems.
- Develop and interpret engineering documentation, including drawings, work instructions, and test procedures.
- Plan and coordinate workflows within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Work hands-on with mechanical designs, manufacturing processes, and hardware assemblies.
- Create and manage models using Siemens NX, with SolidWorks experience as a desired skill.
- Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Oversee the planning, integration, and assembly of complex mechanical hardware systems.
- Support the design and implementation of instrumentation systems.
- Ensure compliance with program requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and precision.
Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Active Secret Clearance (or higher).
- 10 or more years of relevant mechanical or manufacturing engineering experience.
- Program management experience.
- Team lead experience.
- Mechanical design experience related to aerospace systems.
- Experience creating and interpreting engineering documentation, including drawings, work instructions, and test procedures.
- Ability to work hands-on with mechanical designs and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX modeling.
- Experience applying Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Experience planning for and assembling mechanical hardware assemblies.
- Bachelor of Science in a related Engineering discipline from an accredited university.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education: - Experience planning workflows in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks.
- Experience with instrumentation design and implementation.
