Our team is growing. We are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Pipelines Business line in our Vancouver office.
About the Role - Provide technical leadership and direction for the design and development of equipment and mechanical systems.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers and designers.
- Act as mechanical technical lead for projects
- Assign tasks to team members to execute mechanical scope of projects
- Track tasks and workload of team members
- Understand client requirements and justify design decisions effectively.
- Prepare written reports, specifications, and other technical documents.
- Guide intermediate engineers and designers in the production of project design drawings.
- Prepare, coordinate and review deliverables in a variety of project related tasks.
- Actively participate in multi-discipline teams consisting of engineers, designers and other specialists.
- Take initiative in developing projects and contribute to the team.
About You - Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical or similar Engineering field.
- 15+ years engineering experience with at least 5+ years in a leadership or supervisory role, leading Mechanical project teams.
- Previous experience working in an engineering consulting firm, production facility, or similar environment.
- Experience with service equipment including pumps, valves, and agitators.
- Familiarity with project engineering execution.
- Experience in software such as Excel, engineering calculation and modeling programs.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good organization skills, attention to detail and ability to problem solve.
- Proven team player committed to support the requirements of project groups.
- Ability to work in the office or a hybrid 3 office days and 2 home days format.
- Willingness to travel (10 to 20%).
Salary range: C$160,000 - C$185,000 Salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
