Location: Fort Worth,Texas
Expected Start Date: Oct 5, 2026
Salary: $160,000 - $175,000
Lead .NET Software Engineer - Fort Worth, TX (Hybrid) - $160,000-$175,000Use your .NET 8, C#.Net, React, Node.js, and SQL experience to lead five in-house software engineers while staying hands-on with application development. You'll help build and improve the software that determines how critical industrial components are configured and cut on the factory floor. Think rules engines, data modeling, product configurations, and applications that translate complex manufacturing requirements into actionable instructions for production. You'll also play a role in the company's Epicor upgrade and implementation, giving you exposure to a major business systems initiative as your responsibilities evolve.
But here's what makes this opportunity different: you're not stepping into a role where you'll simply assign tickets and sit in meetings all day. You'll have the freedom to chase down problems, improve development processes, eliminate bottlenecks, and help your team get projects across the finish line. You'll work closely with other departments to streamline communication, make sure developers have the information they need, and help move work from the backlog into production. If you're the kind of engineer who sees a problem and immediately starts thinking about how to fix it, enjoys mentoring others, and wants your ideas to turn into real improvements, you'll have plenty of room to make your mark. And if management is where you eventually want to take your career, there's potential to grow into a Software Manager role as the company continues to expand.
The easiest part of this job: You'll have the freedom to innovate, a team you can help shape, and leadership that wants you to bring ideas to the table. You'll get to solve real business problems, work on software that directly impacts manufacturing operations, and help build the development processes needed to support a rapidly growing company.
The hardest part of this job: If you're happy writing code without thinking about the bigger picture, prefer staying within a narrowly defined role, or need someone to spell out every next step, this probably isn't the right fit. The team needs a hands-on technical lead who can connect the dots, chase down details, work through competing priorities, and proactively find ways to make software development better. You'll need to balance coding with leadership, remove roadblocks for your team, and take ownership of getting projects across the finish line.
