Following our successful expansion into the U.S. and continued growth across Europe, we are seeking a Lead Data Architect to help drive our Data function from our Austin hub. This person will play a critical role in designing the core data architecture that every other data and AI system at Biorce builds on top of.

Who We're Looking For:

A seasoned data architect who has designed and scaled cloud data warehouse environments - ideally Snowflake - inside a regulated or high-compliance industry. This person should be able to set the technical foundation for how Biorce's data platform grows for years to come.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and own Biorce's Snowflake-based data architecture end to end
  • Define data modeling standards, warehousing strategy, and access/security architecture
  • Partner with Data Engineering to translate architecture into scalable pipelines
  • Own performance, cost efficiency, and reliability of the core data platform
  • Set technical standards for how new data domains get onboarded
  • Advise leadership on build-vs-buy and platform tooling decisions

Must-haves

  • 7+ years in data architecture/engineering, with deep hands-on Snowflake experience
  • Proven experience designing cloud data warehouse architecture at scale
  • Strong grasp of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipeline design, and data security/access controls
  • Comfortable operating in a regulated or compliance-sensitive environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in healthtech, life sciences, or clinical research data environments
  • Familiarity with CDISC or other clinical data standards
  • Experience supporting AI/ML teams with well-structured data foundations

Why Join Us?

  • A dynamic work environment with an international team, where collaboration and diversity thrive.
  • Work alongside top talent, united by a shared purpose and committed to making a real impact.
  • Get equipped with a MacBook to enhance your productivity and work experience.
  • Benefits package designed to support you and your family's overall well-being.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options, effective from your start date or shortly thereafter depending on location.
  • Hybrid work model offering flexibility to balance your professional and personal life.
  • Company events to celebrate achievements and enjoy time together.
  • Our office is pet-friendly! You'll likely be greeted by a few wagging tails upon arrival.
