The Performance Improvement Healthcare Consulting team helps healthcare organizations achieve sustainable results by addressing margin erosion through targeted improvement strategies. By aligning strategic, operational, and financial initiatives, they identify opportunities and support leadership in implementing impactful changes. With a focus on strengthening margins, the team empowers providers to fulfill their mission and thrive in today's evolving healthcare environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and support large-scale performance improvement initiatives with a strong emphasis on revenue integrity.
  • Contribute to client engagements focused on price transparency compliance, pricing strategy development, payor contracting, payment variance analysis, chargemaster (CDM) reviews, charge capture optimization, and charge reconciliation.
  • Quantify the financial impact of assessment findings and translate them into actionable implementation plans, including financial modeling to support charge setting and strategic pricing decisions.
  • Manage and analyze large, complex data sets to uncover insights that inform engagement strategies and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Translate data-driven findings into clear, actionable recommendations aligned with client objectives.
  • Develop high-quality deliverables-including analytics, reports, and presentations-that consistently exceed client expectations and demonstrate tangible value.
  • Prepare materials and support communications for diverse stakeholder groups, including C-suite executives, management teams, steering committees, and boards of directors.
  • Mentor junior team members by providing guidance, knowledge sharing, and professional development support.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare, or a related field
  • 4+ years of relevant healthcare experience
  • Experience in hospital charge setting and managed care contract modeling, supported by strong analytical skills and the ability to manage and interpret large, complex data sets efficiently.
  • Proficient in leveraging technologies and data analytics tools to enhance revenue and charge capture processes across hospital and clinic settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Prior consulting experience
  • Experience in PowerBI or Tableau
  • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC)

Illinois Wage Transparency

Pursuant to Illinois' Equal Pay Act, the salary range displayed is for the Illinois market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Non-exempt/hourly positions will be eligible for time and half pay for employees that work over 40 hours in a workweek. Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), bonuses, profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
