Role Overview:This role is for an Azure Cloud Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Technical Lead, responsible for assessing, redesigning, and architecting highly scalable, secure, and cost-optimized Azure solutions. The position involves aligning existing deployments with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and best practices, designing enterprise-level Azure cloud solutions, and providing technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities:- Understand customer business requirements and translate them into secure, scalable Azure solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define architecture, technical standards, and cloud adoption strategies.
- Design and implement Azure services including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, networking, and security components.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and ARM templates for automated deployments.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps for application and infrastructure delivery.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies using Azure Backup and Site Recovery or other relevant solutions.
- Ensure compliance and governance through Azure Policy, RBAC, and security best practices.
- Monitor and optimize cloud environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel.
- Provide technical leadership, documentation, and guidance to development and operations teams.
- Communicate effectively with business and technical teams, demonstrating problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proactively identify automation/SIP ideas and work with customers for feasibility checks.
- Undertake detailed and complex project tasks alongside Portfolio Delivery, Architecture, and Business operational teams globally.
- Create KB articles and update SOPs periodically.
- Lead root cause analysis activities, reporting to stakeholders after a major incident.

- Expertise in assessing current Azure architecture and identifying gaps in high scalability, security, and cost optimization following well-architected frameworks.
- Ability to redesign existing deployments to align with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and best practices.
- Proficiency in designing and architecting solutions in Azure cloud using services across compute, network, storage, and database.
- Deep understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings for enterprise architecture.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Azure Networking (design, deploy, troubleshoot virtual networks, subnets, NSG, route tables, private & service endpoints).
- Expertise in Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline design, release management, and automation.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including authoring Terraform code from scratch and creating custom Terraform modules, as well as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
- Experience with Azure Backup & Disaster Recovery or other relevant backup technologies.
- Proficiency in Azure Monitoring & Governance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Microsoft Sentinel.
- Strong knowledge of Git for source control and integration with DevOps workflows.
- Experience with VMware for hybrid cloud and migration scenarios.
- Skilled in managing Windows and Linux workloads in Azure environments.
- Expertise in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and automation tools for operational efficiency.
- Experience implementing Azure AD, RBAC, Conditional Access, and governance policies.
- Experience in Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) for identity and access management in hybrid environments and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for cloud identity.
- Knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for container orchestration and Docker for containerization.
- Ability to implement FinOps strategies using Azure Cost Management and Advisor to monitor and optimize cloud spending.
- Ability to create High Level & Low Level Architecture diagrams of Azure solutions using tools such as Lucid, Visio, or Draw.io.
