Project Overview:

Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets. Job Summary:

In this role, you will monitor and organize planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders' involvement, through the coordination and instruction of Craft professionals. Your field leadership will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Supervise direct hire union craft that make up the composite work crews at the Laydown Facilities.
  • Utilizing the Citrix Software Suite, inspect and approve time sheets prepared by Foremen and General Foremen under their purview.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with Project Materials Management work procedures and all work is carried out safely.
  • Follow the Project HSSE plan utilizing the various JHA's developed for works in and around the site and the Laydown Yard Facilities, the Focus For Safety Cards and other tools provided by the HSSE Team.
  • Responsible for safety, quality and productivity of assigned craft in and around the site and the Laydown Facilities.
  • Administer project work rules ensuring craft are trained to be able to safely perform job tasks.
  • Administer and maintain Bechtel company and Project specific quality initiatives.
  • Monitor work activities of assigned personnel, ensuring that work is carried out in a timely and safe manner.
  • Maintain relationships with the client personnel assigned to the facility.
  • Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness of the Laydown Facilities.
  • Ensure adequate equipment and tooling is available to perform all work tasks in an effective manner and that all personnel are properly trained in the use of said items.
  • Generate Field Material Requisitions (FMRs) for consumables, tools and other non-permanent plant material and equipment necessary to accomplish the mission of the team.
  • Perform other duties as required by Bechtel management.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9 -12 years of relevant work experience.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of a single or multi-discipline construction or engineering operation.
  • Knowledge of Bechtel's Zero Accident Philosophy. Knowledge of the Project ES&H Handbook, the Supervisors ES&H Manual, the Project Safety Management Plan and the Bechtel Core Processes
  • Knowledge of the Six Sigma program tools and methodologies. Knowledge of supervisory functions relating to field activities.
  • Knowledge of Standard Work Process Procedures (SWPPs).
  • Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
  • Knowledge of the use of subcontracts, and the contractor and subcontractor's responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.
  • Experience working with, supervising and administering subcontractors and/or Direct Hire workforce.
