Full Job Description
In this role, you'll provide personalized legal consultations, helping clients understand their rights, obligations, and options across a broad range of legal matters. You'll assess legal situations, deliver practical advice, develop tailored strategies, and guide clients through complex issues with confidence, while collaborating with a dedicated team committed to making legal services more accessible.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized remote legal consultations in clear and accessible languages across various fields of law (residential leasing, real estate, immigration, administrative law, criminal law, university law, labor law, etc.);
  • Prepare cases for litigation: fact and legal analysis, evidence review, drafting procedures, and representation strategy;
  • Support the current team in representing clients before civil courts and administrative bodies in a variety of legal areas (university disciplinary committees, Landlord Tenant Board, Small Claims Court);
  • Analyze legal files and situations presented by clients to assess their rights, obligations, and options;
  • Advise clients throughout the legal process, clearly explaining the issues, next steps, and possible options;
  • Evaluate the chances of success of potential legal actions, and offer realistic and client-tailored solutions;
  • Rigorously track deadlines and procedural obligations;
  • Collaborate with the entire legal team to ensure a cohesive approach;
  • Stay current with legislative and regulatory changes in relevant areas of law;
  • Occasionally participate in hearings: meet with clients to prepare their testimony, present evidence, conduct examinations, present arguments, and negotiate settlements if needed.


Your Profile
  • Licensee as a lawyer from a Canadian Law Society for at least two (2) years;
  • Ability to manage a high volume of legal cases and prioritize effectively;
  • Demonstrates empathy and active listening with clients;
  • Communicates clearly and adapts messaging to different audiences;
  • Resourceful and solution-oriented;
  • A team player who encourages collaboration and supports colleagues;
  • Inspires trust and contributes positively to the team dynamic;
  • Proficient in both French and English, spoken and written;
  • Licensee of the Quebec Bar is an asset.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000 per annum.

This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc.). The actual base salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be able to provide additional details of the total compensation for this role.
