You Are:A knowledge engineer with an industry lean - you want your ontologies to encode how a real vertical works, and you're happiest when the graph disagrees with the org chart and turns out to be right.
You belong here even if you haven't spent years in AI. Much of what makes a great practitioner in this work was learned somewhere adjacent - strong credentials in the neighboring discipline plus a year or two of serious hands-on work with LLM-based systems is exactly the profile we grow.
The Work:At the Manager grade you lead industry digital-brain delivery on a client engagement: discovery and baseline of industry-specific patterns, ontology design and build (Knowledge Graph and Data Taxonomy, in skill terms), and the lifecycle management that keeps an industry engine current.
At the Senior Manager grade you hold authority across engagements in the vertical. We assess that fit at interview, not at requisition.
This is a joint posting covering Manager (CL7) and Senior Manager (CL6) grades, with Accenture's one-level lift at the firm's discretion.
Travel may be required for this role. The amount of travel will vary from 0 to 100% depending on business need and client requirements.
Here's what you need- Minimum of 5 years in knowledge engineering, data modeling, or industry data work, with at least 1-2 years specifically on AI/LLM-based work.
- Minimum of 2 years of domain experience in insurance, communications & media, or retail - at an operator, an analyst firm, or a consulting practice serving the industry.
- Working fluency with knowledge-graph technologies and retrieval-augmented generation.
- Minimum of 2 years leading a team or workstream within a larger program.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working in agile engineering or consulting teams.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience).
Professional Skills:- AI-adjacent experience counts toward the bars above: strong credentials in the neighboring discipline combined with 1-2 years of hands-on LLM work is exactly the profile we grow.
Bonus Points If You Have:- Agent context engineering over industry corpora.
- Experience with regulatory or compliance-driven modeling.
- Graph-based ML alongside symbolic modeling.
