Full Job Description
To complete our creative and dynamic team in Denver, we are seeking a:
Key Account Manager - North America (100%)
Starting date: as soon as possible
Your role:
Your mission is to grow a portfolio of 10-20 of Flyability's largest North American accounts: asset owners in cement, power generation, pulp & paper, steel and chemicals, and the inspection companies that serve them. You will make these accounts successful with Elios hardware, software and payloads, and turn that success into expansion - new sites, new departments, new use cases. You will map each account from the pilot to the economic decision-maker, and run business development inside the portfolio.
You will work hand in hand with the Area Sales Managers and our reseller partners in the region. You will report directly to the Head of Key Accounts & Customer Success, based in Switzerland, and be part of our Denver team.
What you will own:
• The revenue objective and growth strategy for the assigned account portfolio
• Account mapping - stakeholders from pilots and program owners to procurement and economic decision-makers, maintained in Salesforce
• Business development within the portfolio: identifying new sites, departments and use cases, and running the full opportunity lifecycle from demonstration to purchase order
• Regular on-site and remote interactions with users and sponsors, including business reviews with the largest accounts
• Coordinated account plans with the Area Sales Managers and reseller partners covering the same territory
• Early identification of risk on the account - adoption, satisfaction, competitive threats - and mobilising Customer Success, Support, Product and Field Operations to address it
• Voice of the customer: structured feedback to Product and Marketing on what these accounts need next
Requirements
Your profile:
• 3+ years in key account management, business development or complex B2B sales, ideally selling hardware and software into industrial customers; familiar with large multi-site organisations and their procurement processes
• Bachelor's degree, or a Master's in engineering, business administration or a related field
• Fluent English; Spanish or French an asset
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly across all levels of an organisation, translate complex technology into clear and accessible language for diverse audiences, and confidently influence stakeholders without relying on formal authority. Naturally curious about industries, customers, and technology.
• Authorised to work in the United States and holding a valid driver's licence; based in or willing to relocate to the Denver area; able to travel up to 50% of the time, nationally and internationally
• Comfortable working on industrial sites, which may involve climbing multiple flights of stairs, and loading, unloading and setting up equipment weighing 50-70 lb
