Job Summary:

The Junior Engineer will investigate, analyze, and deliver technical positions, and recommendation on engineering issues with oversight and direction. They can independently address tasking with some senior level guidance.

Job Functions:
• Project/Program Engineer in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles and processes in research and engineering, test and evaluation and logistics functions.
• Identifies and solves a wide variety of complex problems with many competing objectives, variables and constraints.
• Delivers optimized technical solutions that are balanced to achieve required technical performance within cost, schedule and technology constraints.
• Functions as a project lead, program manager, team lead or member of an integrated team/ group providing technical guidance to a technical workforce and meeting customer requirements for products and/or services.
• Project/Program Management - manage a small to medium scale/scope or segments of a project/program. Applies tools such as but not limited to: Risk Management Configuration Management, Data Management, Trade-off Analysis/Trade Studies, Technical Performance Measurement, Technical Reviews, Modeling & Simulation or Earned Value Management.

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering
• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Experience in aviation propulsion and power input systems, including product development, material processing, testing, or closely related engineering disciplines
• Basic understanding of manufacturing methods, mechanical systems, and materials as applied to aircraft engines and power input components
• Some knowledge of process qualification, validation, and verification for propulsion system components and associated hardware
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to evaluate propulsion performance, reliability, and system integration challenges
• Working knowledge of applicable military specifications and standards relevant to aviation propulsion and power systems preferred
• Familiarity with one or more core manufacturing processes, including additive manufacturing, materials development, materials testing, and metal surface finishing, as applied to propulsion and power input hardware
• Some experience in identifying, assessing, and managing technical and programmatic risks within

aviation propulsion and power system environments preferred

Physical Requirements:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee routinely is required to learn and apply new information and/or skills. Must be able to interpret data, information, and documents.
• Occasional Travel may be required. 20%
• Occasionally will need to lift/and or move up to: ?10 lbs. ?20 lbs. ?45lbs.
• Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
• Moderate environment temperature and noise level.
• This is largely a sedentary role; this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
• Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times.
