Hampton Roads area, Virginia // Exempt, salariedTHE ROLEYou support the development and maintenance of large, complex, cost-loaded schedules for MEB's private sector, municipal, state, and federal projects. You work directly with the Project Scheduler and the project teams, and you take on more of the schedule as your skills grow.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN- Proposal schedules. Support business development and estimating with schedules for proposals.
- Schedule development. Work with project teams to develop schedules after award, and sit in on sequencing with the Project Manager, Superintendent, Project Engineer, and key subcontractors.
- The P6 build. Enter activities, logic, activity codes, and durations from the sequences the team sets.
- Cost loading. Input data for cost-loaded schedules and build the spreadsheets that help project teams cost load.
- Schedule maintenance. Maintain schedules with the project teams through construction, and enter progress and update data.
- Scope changes. Add activities and logic for scope changes.
- Reporting. Produce the required schedule plots and reports showing project status.
- Pay applications. Assist the Project Manager with cost reports for pay applications.
WHAT YOU BRING- 3+ years in construction
- 1+ years developing and maintaining construction schedules in Primavera P6 or a comparable program
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, including building spreadsheets other people will rely on
- Detail and deadline oriented. A schedule that is almost right is wrong
- Ability to work independently and inside a project team
- Commitment to your own development. This role exists to grow into Project Scheduler
WORK ENVIRONMENT- Assignment varies. You may be based in an office, on a project site, or splitting time between the two
- Walk active jobsites over uneven terrain, climb stairs and ladders, and work around heavy equipment; required PPE
- Extended computer work. Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs
COMPENSATIONThe anticipated starting salary for this position is $72,000 to $100,000 per year. This is the range we expect to pay someone starting in this position. Where an offer lands within it depends on the experience you bring, the certifications and technical skills that apply to this work, the scope you have carried before, and what we pay people already doing equivalent work here. The range covers base pay. It is a starting range, not a ceiling. People move up through it and past it as they grow with us.
