Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary customer point of contact for LiftSystem issue resolution at Ebbing Field.

  • Maintain detailed records in Maximo to support program data gathering and contract requirement fulfillment.
  • Review engineering changes to assess their impact on field operations and communicate updates to project representatives.

  • Assist with the refinement of maintenance and repair documentation related to the LiftSystem.
  • Report operational activities related to F35B Operations ensuring compliance with OPSEC requirements.

Job Title: JSF Field Service Engineer

Working Pattern: Full time

Working location: Ebbing Field ANGB, Arkansas/ Changi Air Base, Singapore

Relocation assistance is available for this position as applicable

Position Summary

Serve as the primary point of contact to resolve issues arising from integration and operation of LiftSystem components for the Republic of Singapore Air Force. Provide technical guidance and advice in the evaluation of LiftSystem problems and to render technical assistance. Principle location will be at Ebbing Field ANGB, Arkansas, with potential to relocate to Changi Air Base in Singapore around 2028.

What you will be doing
  • Be the initial point of customer contact for LiftSystem Action Resolution (AR) issues at Ebbing Field. As required, provide assistance to Pratt & Whitney and customer personnel on technical issues which include: LiftSystem/Aircraft interface issues, Lift System troubleshooting, LiftSystem maintenance, LiftSystem repairs, and logistic support.
  • Provide customers with an authoritative point of contact on all issues related to the operation of the LiftSystem product and maintain connectivity between Rolls-Royce management and key customers
  • Ensure that all operational events are captured and recorded in Maximo to support data gathering activities and transfer as necessary to meet the requirements of the program. (Allows RR to meet contract requirements by establishing root cause of operational impact with a view to minimizing in the future). Provide Pratt and Whitney onsite team with regular status updates, including closure statements and any corrective action as required.
  • Review proposed engineering changes with the view of minimizing adverse impact on the product in the field. Provide regular status updates to onsite Pratt & Whitney representatives as required to ensure efficient coordination of the planned changes.
  • Maintain status on Rolls-Royce deliveries of flight hardware, modification kits, support equipment, containers and spares, reporting any anomalies for resolution. Provide on-site Pratt & Whitney representatives with regular updates as required.
  • Assist in interpretation and refinement of Rolls-Royce maintenance and repair instructions, damage acceptance and repair limits, Lift System modification accomplishment instructions, referring issues for resolution to Rolls-Royce Engineering and logistic staff as required.
  • Ensure TV and AR reporting are provided to Rolls-Royce, (including issues relating to support equipment), providing supplementary information as required.
  • Provide regular status reports on operational activity in support of F35B Operations, keeping in mind any export or OPSEC concerns.
  • Support Lead FSR in executing Deployed Services and JSF Program responsibilities.


Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aerospace or an Engineering discipline with 2+ years of experience in aviation propulsion - with an emphasis on DoD Military; OR
  • Master's degree in Aviation, Aerospace or an Engineering discipline; OR
  • JD/PhD in Aviation, Aerospace or an Engineering discipline

  • Must be willing to relocate to Arkansas and Singapore for this role.


Preferred Requirements:
  • High level of technical knowledge with jet engine maintenance, operations, overhaul, test cell, and aircraft flight line operations.
  • Previous F35B LiftSystem experience
  • FAA Certified Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) Mechanic's license.
  • Prior Field Service experience in aviation maintenance
  • Ability to obtain secret clearance.
  • Willing to deploy into "War Zone" location in support of customers request/contract requirements.
  • Strong technical and theoretical knowledge and aptitude of jet engine design, construction, and systems operation.
  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting jet engines and related aircraft systems.
  • Able to deploy to temporary duty assignments in support of Deployed Service campaigns, short and/or long-term contract deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Comply with any requirement to relocate assignment (CONUS or OCONUS) as determined by the business and/or Customer to ensure Company business objectives and contract deliverables are met, and Customer operational needs are supported.
  • High level of interpersonal skills with a professional attitude and bearing with focus on customer service.
  • Computer competency using Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project and strong presentation skills.
  • Able to work with all levels of maintenance, engineering, and management.
