Chicago (Ideal location), Peoria, Irving, TX, and Broomfield, CO, but open to 100% remote
Duration: 12 months
Screening interview during the technical interview, then a 2nd round.Typical task breakdown:- Leadthe architecture, design, development, and testing of modern softwaresolutions, prototypes, pilots, and reusable platform capabilities.
- Evaluate,prototype, and apply emerging technologies such as generative AI, agenticworkflows, retrieval-augmented generation, cloud-native services, APIs,automation, and data-driven application patterns.
- Translatebusiness opportunities, product goals, and technical requirements intoscalable software designs, solution patterns, technical roadmaps, andimplementation plans.
- Mentorengineers, provide technical direction, facilitate design reviews, andpromote a culture of experimentation, learning, engineering excellence,and responsible technology adoption.
- Collaboratewith product managers, architects, data scientists, cybersecurity,infrastructure, UX, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions alignedto organizational goals and risk expectations.
- Defineand implement technical evaluation methods, including proof-of-conceptsuccess criteria, model or system performance measures, quality gates,automated testing, monitoring, and production readiness reviews.
- Identifytechnical risks, dependencies, integration needs, security considerations,and operational constraints early in the solution lifecycle and recommendpractical mitigation strategies.
Work environment:
2-3 days a week in the office and for the other offices, it is as needed basis.A full return could happen at any point.
Education & Experience Required:- Bachelor'sdegree (technology-related field) with 8+ years of experience in thiscapacity
- Nodegree than 10_ years in this capacity.

- SoftwareProduct Design/Architecture: Knowledge of software product design; abilityto convert market requirements into the software product design.
- SoftwareProduct Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of technical aspects of a softwareproducts; ability to design, configure and integrate technical aspects ofsoftware products.
Software Product Testing: Knowledge of software product testing; ability to design, plan, and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure software product quality and adherence to stated requirements.
Considerations For Top Candidates:- Bachelor'sdegree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering,Information Technology, or a related technical discipline; equivalentpractical experience may be considered.
- Progressiveprofessional experience in software engineering, including hands-ondevelopment of complex applications, distributed systems, APIs, platforms,or cloud-native services.
- Demonstratedability to lead technical work across the full software developmentlifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture, design, coding,testing, deployment.
- Strongproficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python,Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Go, or similar languages.
- Experiencedesigning scalable, secure, observable, and maintainable software usingmodern architecture patterns, APIs, automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOpspractices.
- Workingknowledge of cloud platforms, containerization, infrastructure automation,integration patterns, and production support practices.
- Abilityto communicate complex technical topics clearly to engineering, product,architecture, security, and business stakeholders.
- Demonstratedanalytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in ambiguous orrapidly evolving technical environments.
Preferred Qualifications- Experiencebuilding or integrating AI, machine learning, generative AI, largelanguage model, agentic, retrieval-augmented generation, vector database,or prompt-based solutions.
- Experiencetaking emerging technology concepts from proof of concept through pilot,production hardening, governance review, adoption, and operationalsupport.
- Familiaritywith responsible AI practices, model evaluation, guardrails, data privacy,cybersecurity, compliance, and enterprise risk management considerations.
- Experiencewith modern cloud services, serverless architectures, Kubernetes,microservices, event-driven architecture, API management, observabilityplatforms, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experiencepartnering with product, design, data, security, architecture, andbusiness teams to identify high-impact use cases and deliver measurablebusiness outcomes.
- Provenability to mentor engineers, influence technical direction without directauthority, and establish reusable engineering standards, patterns,frameworks, or accelerators.
- Advanceddegree, cloud certification, AI/ML certification, software architecturecertification, or demonstrated contribution to technical communities,open-source projects, patents, publications, or internal innovationinitiatives.
