Job Summary
We are seeking an IT Software Asset Management Developer to support Software Asset Management (SAM), ServiceNow development, and the Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) project. The role will primarily focus on ITSAM activities (80%) and SBOM-related work (20%). Responsibilities include ingesting SBOM data from GitLab and software vendors, mapping data to appropriate systems, developing APIs and integrations, and supporting software asset management and governance processes. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management, particularly SAM Pro, along with data integration and software asset management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) project and manage its associated development backlog.
• Ingest SBOM data from GitLab and software vendors into the enterprise environment.
• Map and organize SBOM data within appropriate systems and locations.
• Establish connections between SBOM data and the corresponding software assets across the enterprise environment.
• Support Software Asset Management (SAM) activities and develop related platform functionality.
• Build and maintain API calls and integrations to support data exchange across systems.
• Manage significant data movement, transformation, and mapping activities.
• Evaluate and support the integration of Technopedia data.
• Support software governance processes to ensure software follows the appropriate systems and approval procedures before being introduced into the environment.
• Provide ServiceNow and SAM support for additional team initiatives as required.
Required Qualifications
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Software Asset Management, particularly SAM Pro.
• Strong understanding of Software Asset Management processes beyond basic ServiceNow platform development.
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and enterprise data movement and mapping.
• Experience working with SBOM data from sources such as GitLab and software vendors.
• Ability to ingest, map, and associate software data with corresponding assets across enterprise environments.
• Understanding of software governance processes and controls for introducing software into enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience integrating or working with Technopedia.
• Experience with GitLab.
• Previous experience supporting SBOM implementations or projects.
• Experience in financial services or banking environments.
• Strong experience with software governance processes.
