Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer specializing in AI and Python to design and develop enterprise AI applications using Python, Large Language Models (LLMs), and enterprise APIs. The role involves building and optimizing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, deploying and monitoring AI services across cloud and on-premises environments, and providing technical leadership throughout engineering delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python development, API development, Agentic AI, AI/ML, Generative AI, cloud deployment, and solution architecture.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop AI applications using Python, LLMs, and enterprise APIs.
• Build and improve RAG pipelines, including document ingestion, embeddings, and vector search.
• Evaluate AI responses for accuracy, reliability, latency, and cost, and troubleshoot related issues.
• Deploy and monitor AI services in cloud and on-premises environments while maintaining security and operational stability.
• Lead technical discussions, review code, and mentor engineers on implementation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify requirements, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate progress.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Resolve complex problems spanning multiple applications to drive improvements across portfolios.
• Lead projects with significant business implications, participate in planning and priority estimates, and advise Software Engineers while executing with limited guidance.
• Support Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for large, complex, cross-functional application initiatives by providing insights to testing teams and ensuring appropriate test coverage.
• Apply and share an in-depth understanding of software development lifecycle phases, company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls.
• Communicate software architecture changes and coach engineers on applying architectural understanding to software solutions.
• Resolve escalated issues and improve engineering, testing, and operational excellence practices.
• Solve complex cross-functional architecture, design, and business problems by developing extensible solutions, simplifying processes, optimizing performance, and removing bottlenecks.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems (CIS), or a related field.
• 7 years of experience in software development or a related field.
• 6 years of experience in database technologies.
• 6 years of experience working on projects involving the implementation of solutions through Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
• 5+ years of experience with Python.
• 3+ years of experience in REST API development.
• 1-2 years of experience in Agentic AI development.
• 2+ years of experience in AI/ML.
• 2+ years of experience developing applications using Large Language Models (LLMs).
• 1+ year of experience building RAG pipelines, including retrieval and embedding workflows.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud platforms and deployment.
• 2+ years of experience leading engineering delivery and solution design.
