Job Description
Ignite is currently seeking a driven IT Project Manager to join our team supporting the U.S. Army on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. This position is expected to be onsite. The IT Project Manager will plan, coordinate, and deliver assigned information technology projects from concept through implementation and operational acceptance. The IT Project Manager will provide a single point of accountability for project scope, schedule, resources, risks, quality, stakeholder coordination, technical dependencies, and deliverables.
This role will work across cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, systems, networks, application development, service desk, backup/recovery, and asset management teams to translate approved objectives into executable work plans and successful mission outcomes.
This position is pending contract award.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Manage assigned IT projects from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, implementation, acceptance, and closeout.
- Serve as the primary project point of contact for Government stakeholders, technical teams, users, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Define and control project scope, objectives, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and maintain detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, status reports, risk registers, and action-item logs.
- Lead project meetings, technical coordination sessions, milestone reviews, and implementation-readiness reviews.
- Track performance, analyze variances, identify emerging risks, and implement timely corrective or recovery actions.
- Coordinate cybersecurity, architecture, engineering, testing, configuration management, documentation, training, and operational-transition activities.
- Ensure project work and deliverables comply with PWS requirements, quality standards, security controls, approved baselines, and Government direction.
- Manage vendor and subcontractor tasks and review their deliverables for timeliness, completeness, and quality.
- Provide clear status, decisions, risks, issues, and recommendations to the Program Manager and Government stakeholders.
- Capture lessons learned and recommend process improvements for future projects.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:- Minimum: Ten (10) or more years of relevant project-management experience at the Senior/Journeyman level.
- Experience managing IT projects from original concept through final implementation and operational handoff.
- Experience defining scope and objectives and developing detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, status reports, and risk responses.
- Experience coordinating end users, technical teams, client services, vendors, subcontractors, security personnel, and Government stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, quality, risks, issues, changes, and stakeholder communications.
- Working knowledge of DoD/Army IT environments, cybersecurity/RMF, configuration control, technical documentation, and service transition.
- Strong facilitation, organization, analysis, technical writing, briefing, and customer-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and work on-site at Redstone Arsenal.
- CompTIA Security+ and PMP are required.
Job Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Projects involving VMware, Red Hat OpenShift, Windows/Linux servers, enterprise networks, classified enclaves, software development, databases, service desk, or IT assets.
- Agile, iterative, and traditional project-delivery methods tailored to DoD governance and change-control requirements.
- Integrated master schedules, milestone tracking, action registers, risk/issue logs, resource forecasting, quality reviews, and executive reporting.
- Vendor task integration, deliverable acceptance, technical interchange meetings, CCBs, RMF gates, testing, deployment, and operational handoff.
- Coordinating maintenance windows, implementation plans, rollback procedures, training, documentation, and post-implementation reviews.
- DoD 8140/DCWF-aligned qualification; CISSP, CISM, GSLC, or equivalent preferred.
Security Clearance Requirements: Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance (TS/SCI and SAP eligible)

- Permitted substitution: BA/BS with seven (7) or more years of relevant experience
