Job Title: IT Manager
Location: West Palm Beach, FL (On-Site)
Department: Operations
Reports To: Chief of Staff
Position Summary

The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring that technology is never the reason O'Keefe Media Group fails to execute its mission. This role owns the reliability, security, and continuous improvement of the organization's technology infrastructure, communications systems, audiovisual equipment, and end-user support.

Success is measured by system reliability, operational readiness, cybersecurity, and the elimination of technical obstacles that interrupt journalism, production, or business operations.

Primary Outcomes
Deliver a Reliable Technology Environment

Ensure employees can perform their work without interruption by maintaining highly reliable networks, internet connectivity, workstations, servers, and business systems.

Success looks like:
  • Zero downtime during business operations
  • Stable internet connectivity throughout the facility
  • Rapid resolution of technical issues
  • Zero production delays caused by technology failures
  • Perform quarterly network performance audits


Build a Secure Technology Environment

Protect company personnel, communications, intellectual property, investigative material, and digital infrastructure through proactive cybersecurity practices.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including network administration, systems management, cybersecurity, and end-user support. Previous IT leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, macOS, networking (firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi, VPNs), cloud services, VoIP, device management, backup and disaster recovery, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • A/V & Production Support: Experience supporting podcast studios, live streaming, conference room technology, video conferencing, and professional audio/video equipment. Ability to troubleshoot production-critical issues quickly.
  • Security: Demonstrated experience implementing cybersecurity controls, endpoint protection, access management, multi-factor authentication, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Core Competencies: Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands, lead technology improvements, and deliver reliable, secure systems that enable mission success.
