We are seeking a self-directed individual to join the Beaker Application Support Team as a Genetics and Genomics IT Analyst II, providing day to day technical support for laboratory clients while maintaining a thorough understanding of their business processes. This role focuses on supporting evolving operational needs across multiple complex areas including molecular pathology, flow cytology, cytogenetics, and molecular genetics. As a clear communicator, you will excel at translating technical and operational requirements from customers into robust Epic Beaker software solutions. You bring an analytic mind to solve complex technical challenges and present effective system solutions tailored specifically to laboratory informatics workflows. A successful team member values diverse stakeholder contributions and works seamlessly across technical groups. Analysts working within this team provide comprehensive troubleshooting, system testing, configuration, and integration support for order and result data to ensure the optimal functioning of the Epic Beaker Laboratory Information System and related applications in compliance with established service level agreements. The work spans all levels of technical complexity from simple fixes to very complex implementations, including project leadership for small and medium initiatives. The successful candidate will actively participate in ongoing system support and development regarding Beaker applications, which may include participation in after-hours call rotations.
Description:As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. You will also spend time on project or initiative leadership and delivery.

Required Qualifications: Completion of bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications: Minimum educational requirement is a post-secondary diploma in an Information Technology related discipline or equivalent or minimum 3 years related experience preferred in a Clinical area such as laboratory technology, informatics or another medical field. Must have good presentation and technical writing skills. Must possess excellent customer relations and support service experience. Must have experience gaining cooperation of a variety of stakeholders, including management, clinicians, physicians, and coworkers.
Preferred Qualifications: Prefer completed Epic Beaker CP proficiency or certification (otherwise, must complete before working in the system). Prefer experience with Beaker and/ or ancillary genetics and genomics systems with external data dependencies. Prefer knowledge of business systems analysis and problem resolution. Prefer ability to translate and document business needs to computing solutions, application configuration.
