Responsibilities
We have an exciting opportunity at the Department of State! The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) works with the ISSO Group to manage and support security and IA compliance for all customer IT environments support the customer’s mission to provide IT services to DoS users enterprise wide.
Responsibilities:
- You will document and maintain security diagrams, plans, procedures, policies, logs, and reports, and provide support for security tests to validate that required controls are properly implemented and effective.
- This role requires you to fully cooperate with DoS audits, reviews, evaluations, tests, and assessments of contractor systems, processes, and facilities.
- Additionally, you will assist in: supporting the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process (overall coordination and management is handled by a different team/contractor), supporting POA&M findings, developing, and implementing remediation as assigned by the USG ISSO, and providing POA&M status reporting, supporting the identification, remediation, tracking, management, and validation of findings from sources outside the A&A process, maintaining standard configurations in compliance with DoS security standards, managing security compliance using Group Policy Objects (GPO), and supporting network enclaving and segregation.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The following are the education and experience required for this position:
- 5+ years
- Bachelor's in IT or related field
- Security+ (DoD 8570 IAT II min.); CISSP desired Certification(s)
- Secret Security Clearance
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification(s)
