This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: • Littleton CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.
What does this role look like?Join us as a
Project Engineer for the FBM team where you will be involved in planning and executing avionics work scope and program execution.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:• Ensure that projects are completed on cost and schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans
• Coordinate the planning, organizing, control, Integration and completion of Engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility
• Ensure Engineering is coordinated across Program and suppliers
To be effective in this role, you will need:• Prior technical project leadership experience.
• 3+ years professional experience.
• While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD
Secret clearance, thus
US Citizenship is required.
Coordinates planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility. Plans and formulates engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. Evaluates and approves design changes, specification and drawing releases. Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
Basic Qualifications• Experience as a CAM (Cost Account Manager)
• Experience leading projects, teams, and/or development efforts
• Experience with risk and opportunity identification and mitigation.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance to support this government contract
Desired Skills• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
• Project management certification or equivalent
• Baseline control experience and Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
• Support equipment, missile, or production operations experience.
• Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement)
• Experience as an IPT Lead
• Agile methodology experience
• Experience with Jira or other issue tracking tools
• Possess strong communication, social, and problem resolution skills
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $118000.00 - $219100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
